Magic Ticket to Anywhere [4steps] 1280x720

I remember a moment setting in my apartment when was thinking, “Why do I keep going and working for these other people? Why do I keep building up their pocket books? Why do I keep building their dream that they decided to go after and do?”

I was like, “Here I am, building someone else’s dream.”  That’s when I asked myself, “Why do I keep doing that?  Why don’t I just root for myself and go build my own dream?”

I had no idea how I was going to do it.  I didn’t have any knowledge of even how to start or really how to do anything in terms of building my own dream.

So…

I had to go start researching.  I had no college education, I had no mentors, I had nobody to guide me, I had nothing like that.

I was very confused, but I was tired of going and working the 9 to 5.  Or working when someone else tells me I need to work, or doing what it is they told me to do.  I was tired of not having any free time.  I wanted to be able to get up and do what I needed to do.

I had a friend of mine that was doing his own thing and he started to talk to me about how to go do stuff (start my own business).  I was trying to catch what he was saying to me, but things just weren’t catching up to me.

Some of my family did their own businesses so I knew their was freedom attached to do your own thing and starting your own business.  I knew there was happiness attached to doing your own thing.  It was a piece of mind knowing you’re doing what you’re doing, because you love it.  It’s not work.  Your enjoying it because it’s your life’s work.

So…

I realized, through starting to study books, and starting to get around these great people, that there’s a magic ticket out there.

I want you to imagine for a second that we are going to be looking at this imaginary ticket.  I want you to imagine that you have a plain old piece of paper in your hand.

I want you to imagine that while looking at this ticket there are some pieces or parts that make up that magic ticket.

This ticket can take you anywhere you can possible imagine going in this lifetime.

Now, looking closer at this ticket, the FIRST thing you’re going to see at the top of the ticket is a DESTINATION.

I found out real quick that, if I didn’t have a place to go, I was never going to get there.

Think about it, if you don’t have a place to go, what are you doing?  You’re just aimlessly living life, you’re just breathing and bumbling around doing what?

Think about what really gets you excited?  Think about where you would really go?  Think about a specific destination?  A specific place that you’d want to go?

There’s probably going to be 4 different types of people that are going to watch this video or read this article.

There will be the person that looks at their ticket and says, “I don’t want to go anywhere.  There’s no place that I want to go.”  This type of person is basically complacent.  They have no desire, no dream, and no energy.

The second type of person that will be looking at this ticket will go out a little ways and then they will just give up.  They’ll get back to the status quo or this comfort zone that they have.  They won’t stretch out.  They will just get so far and then that’s it.  They typically won’t make it anywhere.  They get caught in the trap of laziness. They will say things like, “That’s to much work, I don’t want to do that.”  Yet, they will be the type you’ll hear complaining all the time that they’re not happy.

The third type of person that’s going to look at this ticket is going to be that critic.  They’ll see the person that’s looking at their ticket and going after their destination and they’ll criticize that person.  Saying things like, “Why would you want to go there?  Why do you have that goal?  You can’t make it.  Why would you want to go do that?”  They’re the critic out there, the negative person.

Then, there’s the fourth person.  They’re like, “I don’t care what I have to go through to get to that destination.  I know failure just makes me stronger.  I know that I’m going to learn from my failures.  I don’t care what it takes.  I have purpose.  I can’t wait to get there, I won’t quit.  I want to win!  I want to get the most color out of life.  I want to succeed in the biggest way that I can.  I want to be the best person that I can be.”

So…

Where do you want to go?  What do you want to do?  What makes you happy? Write that on that ticket.

The SECOND thing that you’re going to find on that ticket is a TIME SCHEDULE.  Like any ticket, like an airline ticket, it says, “That you’re going to leave at this time and arrive at this time.”

You have to put a time schedule on your ticket.

What you’ll find though with people is that they’re always preparing to go to that place.  They’re always preparing to achieve that goal.  The problem is you get stuck in that for about 50-60 years of your life and then it’s to late.

You have to set a time that you want to get to this destination.  Realize that yesterday is gone, it’s bye bye, you can’t get it back.  Tomorrow is not here yet, there is no tomorrow.  There is no yesterday.  Those places are illusionary in your mind.  Right now is the only time you can ever make a decision.

The only time you can ever make a decision is right now in this moment.

You have to know this specific goal or destination and know what time. The time when you’re going to do it.  Why wait to start?  Why wait!?  What’s there to wait for?  Don’t wait to start.

You know ever morning you wake up there’s like this magical place out there that deposits this PRICELESS TOOL into your pocket book everyday.  It’s called TIME.

We all have the same 24 hours in our day.  It’s how we use those 24 hours. It’s how we go after those 24 hours, that determines whether or not we reach our specific goal.

Don’t waste that priceless tool that we get, those 24 hours each day that we get. It’s now or never.  You either decide to do it, or you don’t!

So…

When will you arrive?  When will you arrive at your destination and how does it look?  What’s the vision of it 5 years from now?  What’s your life going to look like?  You really need to figure that out.

Really take the time and sit down and write out exactly how your life is going to look 5 years from now.  Write with detail. What’s the sound, the sight, and the colors?  What’s it going to look like?  That’s going to really going impact your destination and make a real place to get to.

The THIRD thing on the ticket is the route.  You know the pilot gets in the airplane, looks at that ticket and see’s that they’re going to a certain exact location.  We are in New York and we’re going to Miami.  How do I get there?  What’s the route?  What are we going to do when we fly there?  How are we going to get there? What’s the route?

One thing you have to understand about this special ticket.  This destination that you want to get to, the goal you want to reach, there is no easy path.  Quit thinking that there is!  That sets a lot of people up in their mind for failure.  They think, “Well if it’s not easy then I can’t do it.”  There is no easy path, there’s no easy way to do anything.

The one magical thing about all this is, strength comes out of adversity.  You get stronger.  There are bumps along the way but you get stronger from it.  You become a better person.  Strength will always flourish out of adversity.  It’s very hard to see that when you are in that moment of adversity but it’s there.

Optimism is one of the most important factors.  Optimism isn’t something that happens to you, it’s something that you make.  We make optimism.  You can have a little help creating optimism by being around good people.

You want to be around people that are saying, “You can do it.  You can make it.  You can reach that goal.  Go do that!”

You’ll have those people in life that will say things like, “Dude, I don’t think you can do that.” Or some will just walk off when you talking about your goals or not pay any attention at all.  Then you’ll have some that will say, “Man let’s go, I want to help you.  Let’s work together and make this happen.”  Those are the people that you surround yourself with.

If you’re going after your goal and your destination, your working hard, you’re not hurting anybody, you’re achieving your goal, and people are dropping off… Guess what?  It’s OK!  The right people will stay around you, but you have to be optimistic.

The best way to create optimism is by doing something that you truly, truly love.  That is something that you really have to find.  If you’re not happy with what you’re doing ultimately, then you’re going to feel bad.  Your going to suck at it.  You’re going to feel crappy while you’re doing it.  Trust me!

I’ve tried to do other things, and I went and tried them to do it for the money.  It didn’t matter, it made me miserable.  It may have been a great idea and a great opportunity but it didn’t matter because I wasn’t passionate about it.  So, I sucked at it.  It became crappy.  I ended up quitting it.

Finally, I found out that what I want to do is inspire other people.  I want to go out and inspire you to do what inspires you.  When I found that, it was like BOOM!  I can sit here with tons of energy in front of this camera or word processor all day long talking to you about it.

I have to get better at it too.  That’s what happens when you do anything. Slowly, gradually you get better by working on it.  But… I believe in what I am doing.  That’s what you have to do also.  You have to believe in what you’re doing.

When you believe in what you’re doing and you’re happy doing it.  This energy unlocks out of you and helps you succeed and achieve that destination.  It allows you to move the time your given, in better ways.

One thing that I found, and it was a great discovery for me, was unless your serving other people, you will never find that genuine deep down happiness.

It doesn’t matter if you’re playing sports.  It doesn’t matter if you’re baking cookies for people.  It doesn’t matter if you have a car wash.  It doesn’t matter what you’re doing.  Unless you’re serving other people, and you’re doing what’s in it for them, and not what’s in it for you… Then you won’t achieve true happiness.  You have to serve others.  You have to lead and help others and provide greatness for other people’s lives.  Inspire other people.  If not, it won’t happen.  You won’t reach your goal and be happy.

You will have a certain level of success.  You’ll have those few little instant gratifications and you’ll have little feel good points from people doing or liking a little of what you do, but ultimately, you won’t be happy.

When you deeply just care about helping everyone else get what they want.  Making it about them.  Serving people to passionately help them.  The money won’t even be about it.  The gratification you’ll receive from serving others happily will just explode your world with open doors.  You’ll make so many more waves and live a much richer, more vibrant life.

The LAST thing on this ticket is that you have to pay for it.  You have to pay the price for this ticket.  It’s not free, nothing is free.  You have to pay the price for all of this.

You have to be willing to sacrifice everything in order to make this happen.  I don’t mean everything like your friends and family but you have to put in more than 40 hours a week.

You have to work on this thing when your tired.  You have to get up early, stay up late, and you have to go do things when your buddies are out playing, goofing around.  I know you want to hang with them but you can’t.  You work on this destination.  You work on your goal, because when you’re serving others and following your dreams you’ll have everything you ever wanted.

That’s part of the thing you have to do to reach your destination.  You have to serve other people.  Sacrifice and pay that price.  Become a new person, just create a new focus.  I can’t explain how amazing it is what’ll happen in your life.

You have to have the discipline to make this happen.  Discipline yourself and bring yourself into a new frame of mind, where it doesn’t matter if the mood goes away.  It’s when the mood isn’t there that was there when you dedicated yourself to accomplish a goal. That’s when you find out who you are.  That’s what determines your character.

So many people have a little mind and don’t have the big open vision.  They don’t have a big mind mentality.  This ticket isn’t for little minds.  This isn’t for someone who doesn’t have vision.  This is for people who really want to go get it.

What’ll build your character is when you work on your goal and do the thing when nobody is watching you.  When nobody is there to pump you up and root you on.  You’re still there plugging way at your destination…  That’s character!

That will breed people that will be following you.  That will attract people around you.  That is the truth that will get you to your destination and accomplishing your goals.

Understand this…

Have a definite place that you’re going.

Be willing to start right away.

There is no easy route.  You’re going to have to serve others.  You’re going to have to create your own optimism.  You’re going to have to be strong.

You’re going to have to pay the price.  You’re going to have to do the work when nobody is there to push you along.

When you do that… This ticket will take you to anywhere you ever wanted to go.  But it’s not an easy trip.  You have to have belief.  You have to be dedicated.  You have to be brave.  You have to be a dreamer.

If you’re ever feeling crappy during this journey then go out there and learn something new.  If you’re constantly learning.  Constantly putting things into your mind… Flourishment will fly out of your mind.  Success will be all around you.  People will want to be around you.  That will take you anywhere you ever wanted to go.

Go out find your thing.  Fill out your magic ticket.  Serve other people.  Then watch the change of color, experience and the happiness that’ll fly into your life.
