The SCHEELS store recently inaugurated in Meridian, Idaho has received warm welcome from locals despite cool weather. Currently the largest retailer in the state, the grand opening was crowded with eager shoppers looking to explore the wide variety of sports goods, outdoor gear, and fashion accessories.

In an interview, Assistant Store Leader, Josh Reinhart, emphasized the uniqueness of SCHEELS as more than just another retail store. Notably, the store boasts of features such as a 65-foot Ferris wheel, a huge aquarium hosting exotic marine life, and a variety of interactive gaming spaces for kids.

In addition to selling a variety of goods, SCHEELS also houses a distinctive candy corner filled with sweets from over fifty countries, a music space with a live DJ spinning records during the weekends, and indoor displays featuring giant cartoon characters, all to create an atmosphere of fun and discovery for its customers.

Other notable attractions include a bookstore with a focus on nature, a vast section for outdoor clothing and gear, a well-stocked gourmet shop with unique food items, and a grand food court with a wide range of meals on offer.

The excitement of exploring these various attractions promises a captivating visit to the store for both individual customers and families.

As a worker-owned organization, SCHEELS has had a significant economic impact on the local area, says Reinhart. He explains that the workers not only work for the store, but actually have ownership of it, creating a sense of dedication, commitment and pride that directly contributes to the success of the store, and by extension, the economy.
