Recently relocated from Michigan to Chicago, LaTanya Orr has launched FoundHERS Suite, a women-exclusive co-working space to foster unity and support among female entrepreneurs. The space, located at 1808-10 W. 103rd St., Beverly, promises to provide a conducive environment for women-led businesses to thrive and grow.

Spanning 2,300 square feet, the FoundHERS Suite has amenities designed to encourage collaboration and growth. These include a lounge, meeting rooms, a podcast recording area, a spa/therapy section, a fully functioning kitchen, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The space also hosts regular workshops and networking events and offers other support like business coaching and mentoring programs.

FoundHERS Suite offers different levels of access to its members, such as day passes, monthly memberships, or long-term leases, catering to the specific needs of the users. It aims to create an empowering ecosystem for women-led businesses and encourages its members to collaborate freely on various projects.

The grand opening of FoundHERS Suite was attended by diverse personalities, including local Alderman Matt O’Shea and Karyn Pettigrew, CEO of ZoeGoes, an eco-friendly women’s apparel brand.

Empowering Chicago’s female entrepreneurs through co-working

The attendees lauded the space’s commitment to sustainability and its potential for fostering a stronger community of women entrepreneurs in the area.

In addition to the workspace, FoundHERS Suite also houses the Rehoboth Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship, offering auxiliary business services such as marketing, accounting, legal, and nonprofit management support on a fee basis. This center aims to assist female entrepreneurs in furthering their business pursuits.

FoundHERS Suite offers different membership packages, from $29 per month for virtual event access to $400 per month for a fully equipped office space with various onsite benefits. These packages are designed to cater to diverse individual needs while being affordable and competitive.

Orr decided to establish such a co-working facility during her tenure in Southfield, Michigan, where she had a successful career in marketing and public relations. Despite being a new resident in Chicago, her vision for FoundHERS Suite came from her experiences back in Michigan. With a self-funded investment of $40,000, Orr is ready to help promote and foster the growth of women-led businesses in the Chicago area.
