Nissan has unveiled the 2025 Altima, which now comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 188 horsepower. The most significant change for the new model year is the removal of the previously available 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The standard engine is paired with an Xtronic continuously variable transmission.
Customers can opt for an all-wheel-drive system for an additional $1,500 on most trims. For 2025, Nissan introduces a new SV Special Edition package for the Altima, priced at $1,090. This package adds body-color mirrors, a rear spoiler, a moonroof, and 17-inch alloy wheels with a gloss-black finish.
Inside, the Special Edition package includes a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a wireless smartphone charger.

The interior also features faux carbon fiber trim, illuminated sill plates, and a remote start.
The 2025 Altima SR offers a new bronze wheel option, 19 inches in diameter, priced at $670. Another update for the 2025 model year is the entry-level Altima S, which now features an 8-inch infotainment system, replacing the previous 7-inch display. The starting price for the 2025 Nissan Altima is $27,000, not including a $1,140 destination fee.
This represents a $630 increase over the previous model year. Nissan is also introducing a new maintenance program that includes up to three scheduled oil changes, providing added value for customers. These updates and the simplification of the powertrain options are part of Nissan’s strategy to streamline the Altima lineup in response to slowing sales in the sedan segment.
