Buffett Birthday

Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor, turns 94 today. He is known for his love of junk food and unconventional eating habits. “I eat like a 6-year-old,” Buffett said in 2015.

He drinks five 12-ounce Coca-Colas daily and stops at McDonald’s for a $3.17 breakfast sandwich. Buffett also enjoys chili-cheese dogs and ice cream sundaes from Dairy Queen. He frequently snacks on See’s Candies.

Despite his diet, Buffett stays sharp and manages his vast empire. He sleeps eight hours each night and plays bridge with friends for eight hours a week. Buffett keeps his schedule light.

Buffett’s joyful outlook on life

“I pretty much don’t do anything I don’t like to do,” he said in 2001. He spends five to six hours a day reading and thinking.

When asked about his secret to good health, Buffett emphasized his positive attitude and gratitude for his partners, managers, and family. A Harvard study found that loving relationships contribute to a longer, happier life. When you get to my age, you’ll really measure your success in life by how many of the people you want to have love you actually do love you,” Buffett said.

Buffett’s biggest lessons are his childlike spirit and focus on doing what he loves. “I think happiness makes an enormous amount of difference…in terms of longevity. I’m happier when I’m eating hot fudge sundaes or drinking Coke,” he shared in 2017.

Buffett’s approach to life highlights the importance of joy, gratitude, and doing what makes you happy.
