The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is set to launch the expansion of the NTR Bharosa pension scheme on July 1st. This scheme, aimed at uplifting the economically disadvantaged, will benefit approximately 65,18,496 individuals within the state.
This altruistic move by Naidu is set to revolutionize the existing pension standards, offering significant financial upliftment to the underprivileged. The rollout, commencing July 1st, marks a concrete step towards financial inclusivity across all social strata in Andhra Pradesh.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and other NDA ministers and legislators will back the initiative. The kickoff event is scheduled at Penumaka of Amaravati, an area with historical significance that links it to the Amma Vodi initiative.
As part of the scheme’s ceremonial beginning, Naidu will distribute the enhanced pensions to ST pensioners Islavath Sai and Banavath Pamulu at Penumaka.

This gesture symbolizes the onset of the NTR Bharosa scheme, designed to provide monetary assistance to the underprivileged.
After the distribution ceremony, Naidu will conduct a feedback session at Prajavedika in Penumaka. This session will reinforce the government’s commitment to meeting its promises, made since coming to power just 20 days ago.
Simultaneously, a parallel pension distribution initiative will transpire under the leadership of DyCM Pawan Kalyan in Gollaprolu village, with BJP leader and Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav heading a similar scheme in Velpumadugu village.
The government will issue receipts with specific beneficiary details and pension information to bolster transparency. The State TD president, Palla Srinivasa Rao, stated that the secretariat staff will disburse the pensions starting from 6 AM, with TD leaders from various divisions assisting them.
Conclusively, Chief Secretary Neerabh Prasad, responsible for the state machinery, has affirmed the release and distribution of ₹4,399.89 crore for the NTR Bharosa Pension on July 1. Prasad has advised district authorities to ensure smooth and efficient distribution.
