Eric Lituchy: His Journey From E-Commerce Entrepreneur to Marketing Guru

by / ⠀Ecommerce / December 7, 2024

During the rise of e-commerce in the late 90s, many entrepreneurs decided to venture into this new, uncharted, but exciting territory. Eric Lituchy decided to become an early adapter of the new online enterprise in 1998 and created an e-commerce marketplace called Delightful Deliveries that sold corporate gifts and gift baskets.

The online marketplace soon caught on with his target audience, and Lituchy collaborated with over 150 food purveyors, including household brands, to create gourmet gifts

In 2000, Google approached Lituchy as one of the early participants in their new Adwords initiative. Delightful Deliveries was one of 350 brands selected to advertise on the platform. Lituchy agreed to participate, recognizing the potential of the initiative. Delightful Deliveries was soon at the top of online gourmet stores and received many accolades, including being included in the Inc. 500 annual list and the Internet Retailer Hot 50.

From Crisis to Reinvention

During the financial crisis of 2008, Lituchy was in a difficult spot like many others. He had sold his Delightful Deliveries and was raising three young children. In a period filled with potential pitfalls, he had to navigate the difficulties of the financial crisis under the pressure of supporting his family. Determined not to be defeated by circumstances, he chose to view “adversity as an opportunity to reinvent and innovate.”

With hard work, he laid the foundation for what would become Hunter Digital, a digital marketing agency, while juggling roles at several tech companies. Despite the obstacles in his path, Lituchy believed in the resilience of the human spirit and remained focused on his goal.

Under his leadership, Hunter Digital became an award-winning digital marketing agency that delivers paid media marketing for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brands. The team focuses on media planning and ad creative across top platforms like Google, Meta, TikTok & LinkedIn.

The Heartbeat of Business Is Clients and Team

Though Lituchy made wise strategic decisions that led to the success of his endeavors, he also took the time to educate himself on the industry’s ins and outs. In 2019, Lituchy graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program.

Lituchy believes that his industry know-how and deeply held values and principles are at the core of his achievements. Success is built on two vital elements: client happiness and team spirit, and Lituchy works hard to ensure both.

In Lituchy’s eyes, the team at Hunter Digital is more than a group of employees. He regards them as family and creates a support system for their success. Lituchy invests in his team members by providing the best training and resources. He and his team foster genuine relationships with their clientele by investing time and energy to help their DTC brands and e-commerce retailer clients excel online.

According to Lituchy, upholding client happiness is key to Hunter Digital’s success, and he believes this core principle sets the company apart in the crowded digital marketing space.

Expanding Horizons, Maintaining Essence

Lituchy has big plans for Hunter Digital’s future. He envisions the company growing to three times its current size while maintaining its hands-on partnership approach. Lituchy wants to assist more businesses in achieving their goals by helping them sell more, earn more, and accomplish their digital aspirations.
