Recently Startup Weekend published an infographic showing the progress they made in 2011. Startup Weekend is a global event that launches companies in 54 hours over a weekend of networking, learning and executing ideas. 2011 saw over 21,000 attendees at 260 events around the world.
Startup Weekend also gained its own supporters this past year by forming partnerships with Google, The Kauffman Foundation and even securing grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.
According the the Startup Weekend team they have over 400 events planned in 2012. So wherever you are it’s likely an event will be nearby at some point for you to check out.
