Why should you win the Under30CEO March Madness Entrepreneur Mashup?
In addition to Style by Bravura, I author a healthy lifestyle food blog, lead a chapter of a national networking group, and two separate businesses. Go big or go home, right? This year in particular has put me in a leadership position that has allowed me to help others and grow in ways I never thought possible. I’d like to continue doing that, and I think this is a great opportunity to lend credibility.
Who are your co-founders and what are they like?
I met Jacquelyn Banducci over ten years ago when we began beauty school together as young go getters during high school. We both graduated high school with our beauty license at 18, tried out the salon world and found we both wanted to pursue a business education. 10 years later here we are, full circle, running a style company that we hope to grow to a global brand and branch into other creative fields. She and I are a great compliment to each other. I hunt, she farms. 🙂
Tell us about your company!
We provide on-site salon, spa and style consulting services for special events: weddings, fashion shows, celebrity/political appearances, film, theater, print. We began with Chicago suburbs, grew to the tristate area, and are looking to expand nationally, and ultimately globally. Working with contract artists gives us a lot of flexibility, and has been a great growth strategy.
Who do you pick to win the NCAA tournament?
North Carolina.
If you could be one college mascot, who would you be and why?
The Rebels – while I’m finally learning there is definitely merit to following a tried and true system, I have always found thinking outside of the box to be more fun! I believe all the new discoveries and amazing developments we’ve seen have come from the thought that there’s a better way, there’s something more, let’s do it differently. Innovation is what gets me excited. Onward and upward!
