The Value of Knowing What You’re Worth

Realizing Your Self Worth“Until you value yourself, you won’t value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it. ”

When you look good, you feel good; when you feel good you live better. This week our focus is on increasing your Self-Worth. There are many ways to increase your self-esteem but how do you get rid of the negative so you can increase your self-worth and get paid for it?

Start From Within.

We are all Enlightened Beings in disguise. Every being is born with full access to the highest peak of consciousness. The very instant you empty out your mind and take a good long look inside yourself, you’ll discover something quite amazing. You’ll realize that you are not this body, these thoughts, nor anything you can imagine with your mind. Who you really are goes beyond thinking, beyond concepts, and beyond the mind.

Create Daily Incantations.

Incantations are expressed with emotional energy, intensity, and conviction, which is also known as being in a “Peak State.” It’s best to do your incantations while standing, or even better while jogging or working out; and say them out loud. Doing so will help ensure that the meanings and the intentions of the words you’re uttering become locked into the nervous system and sink deeply into the subconscious mind, bringing about lasting and powerful life-changes.

One of my favorite Incantations:

NOW I AM THE VOICE.
I WILL LEAD NOT FOLLOW.
I WILL BELIEVE, NOT DOUBT.
I WILL CREATE, NOT DESTROY.
I AM A FORCE FOR GOOD.
I AM A FORCE FOR GOD.
I AM A LEADER.
DEFY THE ODDS.
SET A NEW STANDARD.
STEP UP!

Small Steps Make Big Differences.

Studies show the most successful people in the world who achieve fulfilled lifestyles and success actually had to take SMALL Action Steps regularly and often enough to be able to become masterful at what they do. It seems so easy from the outside, because when you become masterful at something it seems enjoyable and EFFORTLESS. When you do small actions over and over again it becomes automated, and you advance. Be aware as it also applies to not so desirable small things you do daily. These small steps can make a huge difference.

Don’t Try to Please Others.

People pleasing usually comes from a belief that other people’s happiness is more important than your own. This is a harmful belief, as it creates feelings of inferiority. Pleasing others is not the same as helping or loving them. Often things that are best for others are things that they don’t like. It is also important to meet your own needs before you worry about other people’s needs. If you are so busy trying to please other people that you don’t fulfill your own needs, you will wind up running on empty. It’s like trying to feed everyone around you, while you starve yourself. This is not only very bad for you, but you will not be much good to anyone else either if you are not strong and healthy.

Avoid Negative People & Negative Thoughts.

Negative people carry on their negativity toward you, leaving you with the same negative feelings they possess. You get dragged down into their world where you feel helpless and can`t do anything right. You`re also left with a negative attitude that will put an end to your once positive outlook on life. Avoiding negative people is important to your overall being. You can increase productivity in almost everything you do by avoiding negative people and negative thoughts.

Face Your Fears & Learn From Your Failures.

The problem with fear is simple. It robs power by distorting reality and ultimately destroys destinies. Anyone can overcome it, and when you do your break-thru* will inspire others.

Don’t Worry About Being “Perfect.”

There is no such thing.

Learn To Appreciate & Reward Yourself.

Rewarding yourself is one of the greatest ways to support motivation and focus on achieving personal success; to reinforce your confidence; and to keep you moving forward even when things get difficult. However, the tendency for most is to wait until we have achieved the ultimate goal. Meanwhile, with every actionable item we complete, there is no celebration, and sooner or later, you will run out of steam.

What are some practical steps you can easily implement to immediately increase your self-esteem and value?

Dress Nicely. Dressing well shows you respect others as well as yourself. Fashion is a method of self-expression and no one is more conscious of your physical appearance than you are. Great style, killer legs, and a nice smile always increase self-confidence. And, when you have it it’s hard for others not to notice. Nothing will beat the rush you get when you look in the mirror and think “Damn I look good!”

Have Good Hygiene. Take care of your personal appearance. When you care people tend to care more. Bath, shave regularly, brush your teeth, use deodorant, comb your hair, and wear clean clothes these small tasks should be done daily. Hygiene is directly linked to your self-esteem.

Practice Good Posture. People with slumped shoulders and lethargic movements display a lack of self-confidence. They often are unenthusiastic and don’t consider themselves important. By practicing good posture, you’ll automatically feel more confident. Stand up straight, keep your head up, and make eye contact. You’ll make a positive impression on others and instantly feel more alert and empowered.

Work Out Regularly. There are many benefits to working out from sleeping better to looking better to building and maintaining healthy muscles, bones, and joints to slowing the aging process reducing the risk of disease and premature death. Working out strengthens and boosts your immune system to improve mental activity giving you more energy to accomplish more in less time. When you gain strength and stamina you feel better emotionally leading to higher levels of self-esteem ultimately increasing your value.

Give Back to Others. If you stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about the contribution you’re making you will realize the impact not only increases your own self-esteem but that of those around you. An attitude of gratitude goes a long way. Giving opens up possibilities that would otherwise not be there, it teaches you to be thankful for what you have and makes more room for you to receive more.

Isn’t it time you didn’t have to build yourself up by tearing more successful people down?
