The idea for the TravelPal app originated on a group trip to Miami, Florida. The excursion was a celebration of the group’s friendships, but clashing ideas about what to do in Miami soon emerged and resulted in heated debates. In the end, compromises were made, but co-founder and CTO of TravelPal, Eddy Moskalenko, was left with one thought.

Max Kostyashkin is the CEO and co-founder of TravelPal and a pivotal part of the duo behind the travel app. Together, Moskalenko and Kostyashkin formed a complementary team to address a fundamental problem: how to make travel planning accessible, stress-free, and personalized for all.
Kostyashkin is an expert in the travel and real estate industries and has extensive experience as the head of a property management company and a successful real estate brokerage in Miami. Moskalenko is a software developer and has spent the last decade creating inventive software solutions as the founder of the Bee Techy Agency.
While Moskalenko led the development of TravelPal’s AI-powered ecosystem, Kostyashkin utilized his expertise in dealing with guests, property managers, and service providers to design the software to address travelers’ needs.
Moskalenko and Kostyashkin worked diligently together through several versions of the software to make TravelPal the app they wanted to use in their travels. They had grown up without much money, so they were very careful with their budgets when traveling, optimizing their trips around their preferences and financial limitations. When traveling with a group, this wasn’t always ideal.
“One person out of the group usually had to do all the planning, get everyone to make payments, and facilitate the vacation. Without such rigorous effort, much of the time on vacation is spent in mediocrity: sitting in the hotel, being in overly crowded places, and overall wasting time,” the co-founders explain.
Moskalenko and Kostyashkin wanted software that would create unforgettable travel experiences that are personalized with stress-free itineraries.
“Once AI became a thing, we immediately saw the opportunity to help bring luxury concierge-level trip planning into the hands of anyone with an internet connection,” the founders explain.
By developing algorithms that understand group dynamics and the individual preferences within a group of travelers, the duo created an app that “takes the guesswork out of planning with friends and family.”
